Serpents figured prominently in archaic Greek myths and ancient Greeks considered them sacred. They were symbols of wisdom, rebirth, healing, immortality and fertility at Ancient Greece. The Minoan Snake Goddess, the Ouroboros, the Asclepius – the god of medicine, who carried a caduceus, with 1 or 2 serpents wrapped around it.
